Song of the week
Song of the week is “The Cave”, by Mumford and Sons
It’s empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears
And all the faults you’ve left behind
The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same
I know the shame in your defeat
But I will hold on hope
And I won’t let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I’ll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I’ll know my name as it’s called again
Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I’ll take mine
Now let me at the truth
Which will refresh my broken mind
So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults
And despite my growing fears
But I will hold on hope
And I won’t let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I’ll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I’ll know my name as it’s called again
So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence
When you know the maker’s hand
So make your siren’s call
And sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say
Cause I need freedom now
And I need to know how
To live my life as it’s meant to be
And I will hold on hope
And I won’t let you choke
On the noose around your neck
And I’ll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I’ll know my name as it’s called again.

“So here we are”, by Bloc Party
I caught a glimpse, but its been forgotten
So here we are again
I made a vow, to carry you home… home
I really tried to do what you wanted
It all went wrong again
I made a vow, to carry you home
If you fall sick, if you pass out
I figured it out, I can see again

Kim Janssen : Homesick and Hotelrooms
Driving past sidewalks and streets and cold nights outside with lots of lights.
Or the Sun shining through the windows on your face reading a story about how it used to be watching raindrops roll down through your bright smile looking outside and you can’t wait to rush out the door.
I feel safe in hotelrooms or on the endless highway in the dark.
Or on a red/white airplane taking me where I don’t need excuses to say that I don’t belong.
Clean floors that you could fall into and everything that you could ever wish for packed neatly on shelves.
Or those days you just couldn’t sit still in many rows and all the people that you know.
And they’re singing songs about a miracle and a tiny baby that saved the world and somehow the only thing that I can think about is how I’m ever going to make it to the end of my life.
Song of the week
She spoke words that would melt in your hands
She spoke words of wisdom
In the basement people
In the basement
Many surprises await you
To the basement people
To the basement…
You hid there last time, you know we’re gonna find you
It’s behind the car seat because your not up to your weight
Out on the mean streets completing your mission
You hid there last time, you know we’re gonna find you
It’s behind the car seat because your not up to your weight
Out on the mean streets completing your mission
She spoke words that would melt in your hands
She spoke words of wisdom
To the basement people
To the basement
Many surprises await you
In the basement people
In the basement…
You hid there last time, you know we’re gonna find you
It’s behind the car seat because your not up to your weight
Out on the mean streets completing your mission X3
Song of the week
This week song is “Dust on the ground” by Bombay Bicycle Club
Thanks Corona!
It’s that ancient love, that you won’t outgrow
It’s the fee you pay, it’s the debt you owe
It’s that subtle way that you throw me down
And I’m inches above the dust on the ground
I await your call, I await your crown
Let’s change our roads, and chase them all around
It’s that subtle way that you throw me down
and I’m inches above the dust on the ground
And all is quiet, all is quiet now
And all is silent, all is silent now
Now I don’t hide it, I don’t hide it now
It’s that ancient love, that just moves along
There’s an itch so slight, even when you’re gone
Well I met you right, but I kept you wrong
And I must wait until I’ve found the ground that you are walking on
And all is quiet, all is quiet now
And all is silent, all is silent now
Now I don’t hide it, I don’t hide it now
Now I don’t hide it, I don’t hide it now
Song of the week
A bit late in the week but I still delivered! This week song is “Whirring” by The Joy Formidable… Enjoy!
This much delight
Fills columns to new heights
All these things about me you never can tell
Colors burn bright
They burn pictures so bright
All these things about me you never can tell
Make me sleep so badly visible friend
Turn the dial on my words
I can feel them fall short
Turn the dial try my love, try my love
Wash these hands
Turn the dial on my words
Love can’t stay here
These steps shadow
Life’s will gone shallow
All these things about me you never can tell
Make me sleep so badly visible friend (X2)
Turn the dial on my words
I can feel them fall short
Turn the dial shine the light, shine the light
Watch these hands move apart
Turn the dial on my words
Love can’t stay here
Cold day in Phoenix
It’s a beautiful day in Phoenix today. It’s cloudy, rainy and cold. I was starting to think that fall and winter simply do not exist here in Phoenix or that more than likely I had Satan as my bunk buddy since it’s always burning hot, but not today, OH NO!!!! NOT TODAY! Hell has finally frozen over!
So for those of you that ever said, “Oh No I will never do that, I will never hook up with Panchito UNLESS hell freezes over”, or in any situation or in a case those words, “UNLESS HELL FREEZES OVER” came out of your mouth, I’m sorry to tell you but you’ve lost. So while the rest of you are out there paying your dues, Che and I will sit back and enjoy this B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L day while sipping on nice hot cup of green tea.

“Animal” by Miike Snow
There was a time when my world was filled with darkness, darkness, darkness
and I stopped dreaming now I’m supposed to fill it up with something, something , something
in your eyes i see the eyes of somebody i knew before long long long ago
but I’m still trying to make my mind up
am I free or am I tied up
I change shapes just to hide in this place but i’m still, i’m still an animal
nobody knows it but me when i slip yeah i slip
im still an animal
there is a hole and i tried to fill up with money, money , money
but it gets bigger to your hopes is always
running,running,running
in your eyes i see the eyes of somebody of who could be (slow?)
tell me if i’m wrong
and now i’m pulling your disguise up
or you free or are you tied up
i change shapes just to hide in this place but i’m still i’m still an animal
nobody knows it but me when i slip
I’m still an animal
i change shapes just to hide in this place but im still im still an animal
nobody knows it but me when i slip yeah i slip
I’m still an animal
:instrumental break:
i change shapes just to hide in this place but im still im still an animal
nobody knows it but me when i slip yeah i slip
I’m still an animal x2

“Can You Tell” By Ra Ra Riot
Have I been too discreet
How long am I supposed to wait
I think about you nightly
Oh can you tell I’m losing sleep
What am I supposed to do
It’s hard to stay cool
When you smile at me
And I get nervous every time you speak
My bed’s too big for just me
When you turn your eyes
I promise I won’t care
Standing by your sister fair
Oh baby baby baby please
My heart sinks to my feet
What am I supposed to do
I think about you nightly
My bed’s too big for just me
When you turn your eyes
I promise I won’t care
Standing by your sister fair
Standing by your sister fair
Standing by your sister fair
When I look into your eyes
I tend to lose my thoughts
Don’t forget your stare
Oh what was that you said
Would you let me know
‘Cause I can’t read your mind
Oh can you tell
I can’t even explain
Oh baby I can’t even explain
What am I supposed to do
It’s hard to stay cool
When you smile at me
And I get nervous every time you speak
Oh, standing by your sister fair
Song of the week
“About to walk” by Throw Me the Statue
Favorite space is a palindrome
Where I tuck in the cannonball
And I never have to share
And where nobody can see
Well, I was just about to walk
Five miles in a day
Shame is always bathed in light
And it always looks the same
Strange nights locked inside
I was waiting for a road ahead
I was lying in my Western bed
Clues and clues dressed in white
Double dreams tend to land big blows
After all with the evening ghosts
‘Cause they were only there to break my toast
Left you under the indulgent chore
Plead your case with the famous whore
Like, will anybody see?
Or would anybody care?
I was just about to walk
Five miles in a day
Bliss is always bathed in light
But she never talks the same
Strange nights locked inside
I was waiting for a road ahead
I was lying in my Western bed
Clues and clues dressed in white
Double dreams tend to land big blows
After all with the evening ghosts
‘Cause they were only there to break my toast
Strange nights locked inside
I was waiting for a road ahead
I was lying in my Western bed
Clues and clues dressed in white
Double dreams tend to land big blows
After all with the evening ghosts
‘Cause they were only there to break my toast
